The Black Horse Bike Ride 2011

12/06/11

The bleak winter will long be forgotten when on Sunday June 12th, 2011 The Black Horse hosts its annual charity bike ride on behalf of Sutton & Croydon MS Therapy Centre & The R.N.L.I.

The format of the ride is changing slightly this year due to results showing over the past two years that the number of riders taking place in the 50 mile ride has been in steady decline, whilst the opposite is true of the 30 mile ride. We have therefore taken the decision this year to offer a 13 or a 36 mile ride.

As usual there will be bacon rolls providing energy beforehand and the promise of a complimentary (riders only!) visit to the BBQ and a pint of your choice afterwards to help you through the final miles.

We aim to make this a true family day out, so please feel free to bring as many supporters as you like to either send you off or cheer you home. There will be a raffle after the ride has finished with some great prizes on offer.

Please help us raise lots of money for these fantastic charities.

The Black Horse would like to acknowledge the work of the former Landlord & Landlady of the Skimmington Castle & Black Horse, John & Naomi, who started this annual ride many years ago and helped raise over £250,000 for the charities during their tenure of the ride.
